The Quare Place, Southerness

The Quare Place sleeps 10 people and sits off the main road 100 yards from the sea front in the holiday village of Southerness,Dumfries & Galloway, Southern Scotland.

Four spacious bedrooms

The bedrooms are all equipped with bed linen and towels, There is ample storage space, and each room is en suite. There are two bedrooms upstairs, and two downstairs , all of equal size. The upstairs rooms have a clear view of the sea.

Sitting Rooms

There are two sitting rooms at the Quare, one on each floor. A great view of the sea is visible from the upstairs sitting room, whereas the downstairs sitting room is more for social gathering, next to the kitchen. There are TV's in both sitting rooms.

Large spacious kitchen and dining area

Nearly everything we can think of is provided, and includes a Dishwasher, Coffee machine, Crockery, Glasses and utensils.

En Suite bathrooms are attached to all four bedrooms

There are ample bathrooms and toilets throughout the house, so mixed family sharing of the house is not a problem.

Our Area

This part of Dumfries & Galloway is very popular due to it's temperate climate, and many activities. Southerness Golf course, is one of many in the area, and the Merse bird reserve is nearby too. A few miles away there are ancient attractions such as Sweetheart Abbey, and the Criffel, which towers down on the coastal plains. In Dalbeattie Forest there is a famous 7 Staines Mountain Bike track, and Threave Gardens are in nearby Castle Douglas. Southerness itself has some of the nicest beaches in the area, and also 2 pubs and a Fish & Chip shop.
